FALL SCHEDULE DOES NOT INCLUDE 'BACHELOR' FRANCHISE FOR FIRST TIME SINCE PANDEMIC |
ABC went for minimal changes in its fall schedule release but, for the first time since 2019-20, the network will not have a Bachelor franchise series. It aired installments of The Bachelorette, Golden Bachelor and Golden Bachelorette to kick off the season for the past six years.
“We’ve had to take a look at just managing the franchise properly," said Ari Goldman, ABC's SVP, Content Strategy and Scheduling.
Meanwhile, ABC pulled a surprise in keeping #1 series High Potential off the fall schedule, with the hit crime drama starring Kaitlin Olson set to remain on the bench for midseason. That one was held back alongside Shifting Gears.
The network’s sole new series for next season, The Rookie: North, will debut midseason as expected. >>>Full Fall Schedule & Analysis
