Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey continues to dominate the box office, with a Monday that’s estimated to be $17.5 million.
If that figure sticks, it will be the best Monday year-to-date in the U.S./Canada, topping Toy Story 5's $17.3M on June 22. It will also make Nolan's film the highest-grossing live-action pic so far in 2026, besting Star Wars: The Mandalorian & Grogu's Memorial Day Monday which came in at $16.4M. >>>TCL’s Chinese The Top Theater

He was 71. 🕯️ Peter Lassally, the late-night whisperer who produced The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson and The Late Show with David Letterman, died July 19. 🕯️ R&B singer and session musician Jim Gilstrap, who can be heard on the theme song for 1970s sitcom Good Times and Stevie Wonder’s “You Are The Sunshine Of My Life” among many others, has died.
