The 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan-Cortina officially gets underway Friday with an opening ceremony headlined by Mariah Carey and Andrea Bocelli, even if preliminary heats for curling, luge, snowboarding, alpine skiing and women’s hockey have already begun.
Beginning at 8 p.m. local time (11 a.m. PT on NBC and Peacock in the U.S.) on February 6, the inauguration will unfold mainly in Milan’s 76,000-capacity San Siro stadium, which is often referred to as the La Scala of Football, in reference to the city’s famed opera house and the venue’s association with soccer matches.
The Milan-Cortina kickoff follows the sprawling opening ceremony for the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics, which took place on the River Seine and was the tournament’s first set outside of a stadium. >>>"Simplicity & Authenticity"

As creator of The Night Agent , Shawn Ryan, who adapted the Netflix series from Matthew Quirk’s novel of the same name, wrote the pilot script, which became the series premiere. He also wrote Episode 2 and co-wrote Episode 3 of the first season and also wrote the Season 2 premiere. But Ryan is not credited as a writer or co-writer on any of the 10 episodes from the upcoming third season, premiering Feb. 19, which is unusual as he serves as showrunner on the action thriller starring Gabriel Basso.
Ryan, a prolific creator/showrunner who has juggled multiple series at a time during his career, noted that he has done this on other shows and that he still does a lot of writing and rewriting on The Night Agent even if he does not do full episodes, something he felt was important to do in the first two seasons.
