Where I’m a little concerned for GOOGLE’s lunch because . . . everyone seems to be coming for it. OPENAI will launch its own AI-powered web browser in “the coming weeks” according to Reuters. So, at least be rest assured that AI hasn’t figured out a way to time travel into the past. Yet. #Skynet Then, NVIDIA-backed PERPLEXITY will also launch its own AI-powered browser called COMET, in case you need a 2nd place to give you an answer that may or may not be 100% correct. But the real winner may be the internet, as PERPLEXITY claims that COMET will let “the internet do what it’s been begging to do: amplify our intelligence,” #realquote, instead of just wasting your time with gifs for the past 25 years (and don’t worry, I’m sure this will only have positive effects on news publishers business models).
NOW: If you’ll excuse me, I have to reconfigure my Vogue resume to be custom-suited for CEO of X . . . so I too can one day get the same kind of heartfelt endorsement from the higher-ups for 2 years of work that I got for my week at computer camp in 6th grade.
SPEAKING OF: The WGA West has left X as a result of Grok’s antisemitic week. THEN: The WWE and BIG12 football conference are doing a little combo action this season — the WWE will hold 4 Friday Night SmackDown events in cities that will be hosting a BIG12 conference football game the next day (presumably with some cross promotion between the two). WAKEUP BOX OFFICE POLLOk, DC’s moment of truth has arrived . . . place your final bets — the general Superman consensus seems to be about $115M to $130M. The conservative number is more around $100M, and others have it up to $135M+ so . . . yeah, no one’s really sure.
