| | | Sinners recorded a surprise win at the domestic Easter weekend box office, bringing in an estimated $45.6M, topping A Minecraft Movie's $41.3M. Warner Bros. released both films and is back on the upswing after a rough stretch. At $16.5M in ticket sales, Saturday business turned out to be better than expected for the Ryan Coogler-directed, Michael B. Jordan-starring vampire pic. That was a drop of only 14% from Friday’s $19.2M. Rivals were forecasting a decline of 24% to 34%, which is typical of horror releases. A Minecraft Movie's Saturday was $15.8M, -1%. While Sinners' Friday was just under Nope's $19.5M, its Saturday was ahead of the Jordan Peele title’s. Nope did $13.9M for a 3-day of $44.3M. >>>Stellar Cinemascore |
